Pietro, an aeronautical designer with a passion for adventure, receives an unexpected package from his eccentric uncle, a management engineer who lives to uncover every new thing on the planet thanks to his visceral passion for history and its secrets. Inside, an ancient, finely crafted dagger and a cryptic message catapult him into a breathtaking investigation into a truth hidden for centuries. The dagger is only half of a thousand-year-old key. To find its twin, Pietro assembles a team of specialists: an enigma expert, an archaeologist, and two veteran divers. Their investigation involves diving into the sea to follow certain clues. But they are not alone. Two ruthless factions are on their trail: the descendants of an ancient brotherhood determined to remain the sole holder of the secret, and a secret Vatican militia bent on obtaining it at all costs. At stake is Zerzura, the legendary oasis that hides a shocking truth about the origins of humanity. From Italy to Istanbul and from Siwa to the heart of the Egyptian desert, Pietro and his friends will have to decipher historical puzzles and escape enemies in a race against time.
